Naomi "Sis" Gearheart Hutchinson, 75, of Bonser Run, Sciotoville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at SOMC Hospice.

 

Sis was born September 1, 1933 in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Lewis Gearheart and Martha Fletcher Gearheart.  She was a member of Central Church of Christ in Portsmouth and had formerly attended the Sciotoville Christian Church where she taught Sunday school for over 30 years.

 

She was married to Glenn Garland Hutchinson on September 28, 1952 at Sciotoville Christian Church, who preceded her in death January 17, 1994.  Surviving are one son, Randall Hutchinson and wife Suzanne of Minford, one sister, Agnes Gearheart of Sciotoville, three grandchildren, MacKenzie, Rebekah and Jacob Hutchinson; one sister-in-law, Betty Gearheart of Portsmouth; and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Herman, William and Buddy Gearheart; and her sisters, Ida Dehner, Marie Johnson, Jane Wright, Goldia Martin and Hattie LeMaster.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Swich-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Denny Dawes officiating, with burial at Wheelersburg Cemetery.
