Paul M. Dawson, 57, of Niner Hill, Sciotoville Route 2, died at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at Mercy Hospital.

 

Dawson, a clerk at the local steel plant, worked Tuesday at the plant and later reportedly complained of feeling ill after he finished work.  He was taken to the hospital by a Gill ambulance at 7:30 p.m.

 

Born February 19, 195 at Wayne County, WV, he was a son of Pearl and Julia Wilson Dawson.

 

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Dean Dawson, to whom he was married June 30, 1934; a son, James, a student at Ohio State University; a daughter Mrs. Sue Klinetop of Greenville, SC; three brothers, Arthur and Okey, both of Niner Hill and Wilson 1005 Bonser Avenue, Sciotoville; two sisters Mrs. George Gall of Dayton and Mrs. William Brunner of Springfield, MO.

 

He was a member of Berean Baptist Church and belonged to Local 2116 United Steelworkers Union.

 

Funeral services are to be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Vaughn Sprugner officiating.  Burial is to be in Memorial Burial Park under direction of Gill Funeral Home.

 

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
