Paul Russell Reed, 67, of Lucasville, died peacefully in the gathered presence of his cherished family on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010, at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born Feb. 27, 1943, on Blue Run, a son of the late Walter Russell and Wilma Alice Giles Reed.
He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn Kay Reed, on Sept. 21, 2006.
Paul was a retired truck driver for Standard Materials, a Jefferson Township trustee for 24 years, and a member of the Back Run House of Prayer, and was a 1962 Minford High School graduate.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Kay (Jerry) Buckler of Lucasville; his two grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Adrienne Danielle Buckler and Adam Harrison Buckler, both of Lucasville; one sister, Donna Kay Albrecht of Portsmouth; his two beloved nephews; and a special family friend and his right hand man, Alva Winn.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville, with Paul King and Francis Wiley Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Wheeler Cemetery on Blue Run. Friends may call Sunday 2 to 5 p.m. and an hour before the funeral Monday.
