Ray Emerson Kronk
March 10, 1931 - November 25, 1950

Funeral services for Ray Emerson Kronk, 19-year-old son of Ora and Nellie Cole Kronk, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the New Church on Route 139.  Rev. K. R. Garner will officiate and burial will be in Bennett Cemetery.

Young Kronk was killed in a tractor accident 150 yards from his home about 10:30 a.m. Saturday.  he was Scioto County's first fatality attributed to the heavy snowstorm.

He was born March 10, 1931 in Madison Township near Minford.

He was graduated from Minford High School in 1948 and was engaged in farming with his father.

Mr. Kronk was a member of Salem EUB Church and the Young Republican Club of Scioto County.

Surviving in addition to the parents are a brother, Roy of Warren; six sisters:  Mrs. Dorothy Nibert or West Portsmouth, Mrs. Lena Smith of Athens, Ferne, Laura and Mrs. Elsie Bateman of Portsmouth and Judity Ann at home.

One sister preceded Mr. Kronk in death.

Erwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Friends may view the body at the residence.
