Robert David Montgomery
March 30, 1972 - August 1, 2014

NEW BOSTON — Robert David Montgomery, 42, of New Boston, died unexpectantly at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. Born on March 30, 1972 in Portsmouth, he was a son of Robert and Karen Dodds Montgomery, was a graphic designer for seven years at MP Printing in New Boston and a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Sciotoville.

"Hawaiian Dave", a longtime concessionaire, was a member of the River Days Committee and Beaver Oktoberfest Committee. He was very talented and gifted, and "Big Bubby" was an awesome uncle.

Preceding Dave in death was his mother, Karen Dodds Montgomery and grandparents, Carole and Charles Dodds and Rosa Lykins Montgomery.

Surviving are his wife, Mindy Williams Montgomery, a daughter, Regan Diane Montgomery, his father and stepmother, Robert (Sandy) Montgomery of Minford, a sister, Angela (Rick) Montgomery-Blankenship of Pedro, and nephews, Michael Carter, Joel Utsinger, Brad Blankenship and Brandon Blankenship.

A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Bales and Rev. John Richards officiating under the direction of the Brant Funeral Service in Sciotoville. The family will receive friends at the church after 10 a.m. on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at Christ United Methodist Church.
