Robin Valli, 56

Robin Sue Valli, 56, of Portsmouth, was surrounded by her family as she went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at the SOMC Hospice Center after a brave battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 20, 1955, in Portsmouth, the daughter of Richard B. Dodge of Sciotoville, and the late Ruth A. Suter Dodge.

Robin was a homemaker and enjoyed being an active part in her family’s life. She volunteered in many capacities at the former Roosevelt School where she was PTO president, and she helped wherever she was needed in her daughters’ school activities and also in her husband’s office. Robin was a member of the Community of Christ and she graduated from Minford High School in 1974.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her family who deeply love and cherish her - her loving husband of 28 years, Joseph E. Valli, DC, whom she married June 30, 1984, in Portsmouth; two devoted daughters Lindsey and Lauren Valli, both at home; a brother, Jeffrey (Dwana) Dodge of Minford; a sister, Cindy (Brian) Pollard of Minford; and her special pets, Ellie and Brutus.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the RALPH F. SCOTT FUNERAL HOME in Portsmouth with Ed Crabtree officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m.
