Sharon Sue Shepherd, 68, of Minford, died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at her residence. Born August 14, 1943, in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Minnie Marie Meyers Fisher, she was a homemaker and a member of Sunshine Church of Christ for 33 years. She was a loving grandmother and enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, traveling and shopping.
She is survived by her husband, Carl E. Shepherd; one son, Darren Shepherd of Wheelersburg; one daughter, Kim (Jeff) Garrett of Proctorville; six grandchildren, Alison Shepherd, Emma Shepherd, Dillon Shepherd, Amberly Garrett, Tori Garrett, Shayna Garrett; one brother, Paul W. Fisher of Minford; five sisters, Ruby Jean Aldinger of California, Vivian Louise Harris of Canton, Irmalee (Wayne) Gampp of Minford, Jane (Kenneth) Hickman of Minford, Pamela (Donald) Coriell of Wheelersburg; and a former daughter-in-law, Teresa Harrell of Minford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Dean Fisher and one sister Dianne Marie Fisher, both at birth.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Sunshine Church of Christ in Minford with Jeff Garrett and Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
