She was born Sept. 6, 1944, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Wright Shumway. Shirley was a 1962 graduate of Minford High School and retired in 2006 from Medstart of Plant City.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Frank Wilt, in 1993.

 She is survived by three sons, Michael and wife Kelley Borders, Brad Borders and Bart and Wife Krystal Borders, and four grandchildren, Chance, Nicolas, Joshua and Ellie Borders, all of Plant City; a sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Steve McManus of Sciotoville.
