Thomas Alan Barber II, 16 of Minford, died Saturday, September 6, 1997, in an automobile accident near Minford.
Born October 18, 1980, in Portsmouth, he was a son of Pam Fyffe Barber of Minford and the late Thomas Barber. He was a junior at Minford High School.
He was a member of the football and track team, a member of the art club and worked in the school's library. He also attended the First Baptist Church in Sciotoville.
He is survived by two sisters, Chrissy and Candy Barber, both at home; grandparents, Hershel Fyffe of Minford and Carl and Norma Barber of Portsmouth; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He is also preceded in death by a grandmother, Sylvia Fyffe.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Minford High School gymnasium, with Howard McGraw, pastor, officiating and interment in Harrison Furnace near Minford.
Friends may call at the high school gymnasium from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford.
