Funeral services for William Henry Liles, Sr., 27, of Dixie Avenue, West Portsmouth, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Central Church of Christ with Harry Hammun, minister, officiating.
 
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  The body may be vewed at Windell-Howland Funeral Home after 7 tonight.
 
Mr. Liles died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hospital, Williamson, WV, from injuries suffered in a fall from a Norfolk & Western Railway train at Williamson while working as a brakeman.
 
He was born in Scioto County on December 29, 1923, a son of Frank and Mac Applegate Liles.  On July 21, 1946, he was married to Lillian Spurlock.  He was a member of the Central Church of Christ, Friendly Workers' Bible Class and a Navy veteran of World War II.
 
He is survived by his wife; three sons; William, Jr., 4, Frank, 2 and Stephen Michael, 8 months; his stepmother, Mrs. Amy Liles, 1319 Grandview Avenue; a sister, Mrs. Jeanette Heckinger of Cincinnati; a stepbrother, Harold Schneider of Sciotoville, and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Carver of Vanceburg.
 
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
