Title I Program

The Title I program is federally funded through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Its purpose is to provide intervention to students who attend schools in low socio-economic areas of the country.

Title One offers to qualifying students:

Reading Recovery for First Grade students.
Small group instruction in reading for students in grades 1 - 3.
Inclusion classes and/or tutoring for students in grades 4 - 8 in math
Inclusion classes for students in grades 4 - 6 in Language Arts

Amy O'Dell is the coordinator of the Title One program for the Minford Local School District.

She is responsible for writing grants for the budget, assessing student needs, coordinating parent involvement, and doing just about anything else she is asked to do!

Amy has a Master's Degree in Curriculum Design and Supervision. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
