March 30, 2020As you may have already heard, our governor placed schools on an extended closure until May 1st. Therefore, our district will continue to provide instruction via on-line learning for students in grades 4-12, packets for students in grades preschool through third, and packets to those who do not have access to technology. If your child is having any issues completing assignments or accessing instruction, please email their teachers as soon as possible.
To allow our teachers time to prepare and send the next round of instruction, we will be using next week as a planning and work time for teachers. All students in grades preschool through twelve will have no assignments to complete for the week of April 6th, Monday through Friday, and no assignments to complete on Monday, April 13th.
The next round of instruction, therefore, will begin for students on Tuesday, April 14th. This will be the plan for completing assignments through May 1st at this point. Should the governor order us to close longer, this plan will be adjusted.
If your family is part of our Monday feeding program, that will continue through the duration of this closure. We apologize to any others who would like to join the list, but we are at capacity for our Monday feeding program at this point and can’t add any other names.
Thanks to all of you for your hard work with your children during this difficult time. I hope your families continue to stay safe and healthy, and we hope to see our students back as soon as possible.
